Epidemiology
Chlamydia trachomatis (CT) is a kind of prokaryotic microorganism that is strictly parasitic in eukaryotic cells[1]. Chlamydia trachomatis is divided into A-K serotypes according to the serotype method. Urogenital tract infections are mostly caused by trachoma biological variant D-K serotypes, and males are mostly manifested as urethritis, which can be relieved without treatment, but most of them become chronic, periodically aggravated, and can be combined with epididymitis, proctitis, etc[2]. Females can be caused with urethritis, cervicitis, etc., and more serious complications of salpingitis[3].

Work Flow
Option 1.
Macro & Micro-Test Sample Release Reagent (HWTS-3005-8). The extraction should be carried out in strict accordance with the IFU. Add the sample DNA extracted by the sample release reagent into the reaction buffer and test on the instrument directly, or the extracted samples should be stored at 2-8℃ for no more than 24 hours.
Option 2.
Macro & Micro-Test General DNA/RNA Kit (HWTS-3017-50, HWTS-3017-32, HWTS-3017-48, HWTS-3017-96) and Macro & Micro-Test Automatic Nucleic Acid Extractor (HWTS-3006C, HWTS-3006B). The extraction should be carried out in strict accordance with the IFU, and the recommended elution volume is 80μL. The sample DNA extracted by the magnetic bead method is heated at 95°C for 3 minutes and then immediately ice-bathed for 2 minutes. Add the processed sample DNA into the reaction buffer and test on the instrument or the processed samples should be store below -18°C for no more than 4 months. The number of repeated freezing and thawing should not exceed 4 cycles.
