Epidemiology
Luteinizing hormone (LH) is a glycoprotein hormone of gonadotropin, referred to as Luteinizing hormone, also called Interstitial cell stimulating hormone (ICSH). It is a macromolecular glycoprotein secreted by the pituitary gland and contains two subunits, α and β, of which the β subunit has a specific structure. There is a small amount of Luteinizing hormone in normal women and the secretion of Luteinizing hormone increases rapidly in the middle period of menstruation, forming a 'Luteinizing Hormone Peak', which promotes ovulation, so it can be used as an auxiliary detection for ovulation.
