Epidemiology
Xinjiang hemorrhagic fever virus was first isolated from the blood of patients with hemorrhagic fever in the Tarim Basin, Xinjiang, China and the hard ticks captured locally, and got its name. Clinical manifestations include fever, headache, bleeding, hypotensive shock, etc. The basic pathological changes of this disease are systemic capillary dilatation, congestion, increased permeability and fragility, resulting in varying degrees of congestion and hemorrhage in the skin and mucous membranes as well as tissues of various organs throughout the body, with degeneration and necrosis of solid organs such as liver, adrenal gland, pituitary gland, etc., and jelly-like edema in the retroperitoneum.

Recommended extraction reagent: Macro & Micro-Test Viral DNA/RNA Kit (HWTS-3017) (which can be used with Macro & Micro-Test Automatic Nucleic Acid Extractor (HWTS-EQ011)) by Jiangsu Macro & Micro-Test Med-Tech Co., Ltd. The extraction should be conducted according to the instruction for use of this extraction reagent. The extracted sample volume is 200µL, and the recommended elution volume is 80µL.
Recommended extraction reagent: QIAamp Viral RNA Mini Kit (52904) by QIAGEN and Nucleic Acid Extraction or Purification Reagent (YDP315-R). The extraction should be conducted in strict accordance with instructions for use. The extracted sample volume is 140µL, and the recommended elution volume is 60µL.
